Who We Are

The Tennessee Valley Chapter of the Army Aviation Association of America, based in Huntsville, Alabama, serves the greater Tennessee Valley region that includes northern Alabama and southern Tennessee. As the largest chapter in the AAAA network with 2,262 members, the chapter plays a major role in supporting Army aviation personnel, advancing aviation capability, and strengthening connections between military and commercial aviation partners.

Its close relationship with Redstone Arsenal, Army Materiel Command, CPE Aviation, Future Vertical Lift enterprise, and NASA highlights its importance to the Army aviation mission and the continued development of advanced technologies.

Supporting Our Community

The chapter provides a strong support network for active duty, reserve, and National Guard aviation personnel along with veterans and retirees. It works to build and maintain ties between aviation units and their surrounding communities, making sure service members and their families have access to resources that matter.

Through social events, professional development opportunities, and community outreach, the chapter promotes connection, understanding, and support for Army aviators and the challenges they face.

Professional Development

The chapter's focus on professional development remains strong. Regular training engagements, networking events, and outreach initiatives ensure that members stay informed on emerging technology, evolving operational requirements, and key industry and Army trends.

The chapter leadership continues to build relationships across military, industry, and civic organizations to help members stay connected and well informed.

Partnerships & Sponsorships

The chapter expanded its community support and sponsorship base, building on the strong support of our corporate sponsors and regional partners, including Tito’s, Twin Peaks, and Jack Daniel’s, while also bringing in additional local businesses. This growing network of sponsors and community partners directly supports fundraising for scholarships, chapter programs, and other initiatives benefiting the Army Aviation community.

The chapter remains a central part of the Huntsville and Redstone community. Its local partnerships help spark discussion, encourage collaboration, and support efforts that advance Army aviation capability. This influence is especially important as the Army moves toward major changes in Future Vertical Lift and next generation aviation programs.

Civic Leadership

The chapter has also strengthened its role as a community partner in Huntsville. Local businesses and civic leaders continue to recognize the chapter as a valuable contributor to community engagement, veteran support, and workforce development.
